Next, I started doing research on how to perform the taillight bulb replacement. I found that many of the repair guides on the internet had photos with a dark background and with no markers. This made it very difficult to see precisely what repair was being completed and it took me much longer to complete this repair. I decided to take photo’s on a sunny day and include markers so when user’s view the image, they can precisely see which part is being repaired. 

Once I had taken the pictures, the next step was to write a detailed description of each step of the repair process. In this step of the project I had learned that it’s important to use precise language, so a user will know exactly what action to take without needing to look at the photos. For example, if a part needed to be disassembled, I included the precise name of that part and also included the action a user would need to take to disassemble the part.

I had no difficulty with planning and writing my repair guide.
However, the greatest challenge of this repair guide was taking good quality pictures. I had to choose a day where it was sunny, clear and had to choose good location with relatively few people around. My next challenge was to mount the camera in a position that showed a good view of the repair process. I did this by mounting the camera, taking a picture of the repair step being completed and checking if the picture was good enough to upload to the iFixit site. The whole process of taking photo’s took me about one and a half hours. Overall, I had learned from this experience that not everything goes as planned and that it takes time to carry out steps of a repair process and take good pictures.
