On page 25 of the Epic of Gilgamesh, it shows Ishtar requesting marriage with Gilgamesh, which he refuses. This shows the strange interactions between them.

They told there stories through Carving figurines and different kind of letter system from modern time. Like for example in unit 1 Lesson 7 they talk about hieroglyphics a alphabets of sorts mainly used for religious and noble people the main problem was that these were only the higher ups so it was there point of view. it depends on the specific time but at the start it was carving and paintings which the went to cuneiform (epic of Gilgamesh was written in cuneiform) and hieroglyphics. all in all i think the way they told there stories was mostly orally at least for the more common folk embellished with statues and carvings.
