Laws are fair because of one of many reasons. Laws apply to everyone. Getting around it because of a role or rank hardly exists. Defying the law is a good way to end up in prison and such. Nobody wants to end up in a place like that, right?

Some laws may be dumb and others have a reason to be there. But unfair laws could affect a person's current state in life more than a regular one. but laws are laws.
