2. SYMBOLIZATION:  We name people “Jews” to distinguish them by colors or dress; and apply the symbols to members of groups. The yellow star for Jews under Nazi rule. 

3. DISCRIMINATION: Nuremberg Laws of 1935 in Nazi Germany, which stripped Jews of their German citizenship, and prohibited their employment by the government and by universities. 

4. DEHUMANIZATION: The Nazis would take away the Jews clothes, starve them, separate them from procreating. 

5. ORGANIZATION: Concentration camps to hold the Jews. People were packed into trains and transported like animals.          

6. POLARIZATION: Nazis put out posters slandering the Jews beliefs and upbringings.     

7.  PREPARATION: The “Final Solution” was created during the Wannsee Conference in January 1942. High-ranking Nazis met in Wannsee, and presented a program to deport all Jews to Poland where the SS would kill them.

8. PERSECUTION: They were deported into concentration camps, or confined to a famine-struck region and starved.  Genocidal massacres begun. There are acts of genocide because they intentionally wanted to destroy part of their group.    

9. EXTERMINATION: When the people entered the camps, the soldiers guided the jews into showers, but really they were gas chambers pouring poison on their bodies. They also starved them by only letting a person eat 1 loaf of bread and i bowl of soup each week. Also, if people were not doing their work, the nazis would shoot them.

10. DENIAL: Some people try to deny that the Holocaust even occurred by burning the strict documentation that the Nazis kept. So that facts about how many Jews were killed wouldn’t be found so they thought that they wouldn’t be caught.
