         <description><![CDATA[<div>June 1914-&nbsp;Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife Sophie were shot to death by a Bosnian Serb nationalist during a visit to the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo on June 28, 1914. He was assassinated by a man named Princip. The killings started a chain of events that led to World War I.</div>]]></description>
