In the past, I have really struggled with looking towards the more positive direction. Through experience and learning from others, I have realized that there is good in everything because there is God in everything. I think one of the goals in life is to learn how to have the eyes to look for the good. I think it's important to be grateful for the opportunities and what has been present in our own lives. When I really sit down and think about all the blessings in my life, it is easy for me to make the negative things happier.

Why Losing Someone Can Be Good

Along with a new transition (middle school to high school) comes change. Change is good and completely necessary. However it can be really hard to accept and adapt the rest of your life to it. Obviously with major change, you change as a person. The people around you will notice and either accept that or distance themselves from you. In the process of my transition, I have lost friends. It has been hard for me because a part of me thought that I would be friends with these people forever. However, I have realized that I am happy right now with the people that I surround myself with. I have never felt more accepted or like I have ever been a more genuine version of myself. And that I lost people for a reason. I think that it is important to care for people that were once in your life but that feeling true and profound happiness is worth losing someone.

Why Worrying is Negative

Before this semester, I used to get worked up about every little thing. By learning things inside the classroom and observing experiences outside the classroom, I have gained new knowledge about worrying. It's not worth it. It is not healthy to stress yourself out about everything in life. Everything happens for a reason. People are not going to remember your mistakes forever. The only thing that matters is that you are being the best person you can be and that you trust that God is making the right decisions for you.

The Importance of Self Confidence

In the end of it all, the only physical person you can rely on is yourself. You have God to guide you obviously but you are the only person that is physically there for yourself at all times. It is important to recognize this and maximize its full potential. It is important for you to find ways to make yourself happy and not have to rely on others to do it for you. It is important to love yourself and be fully confident that are you are the best person you can be. This is hard at sometimes because of the overwhelming pressure that society inflicts on us but it is possible. You can achieve this by fully trusting yourself.
