This milestone happens at birth.<br>Between 2 to 4 months of age children begin cooing.<br>Children do not understand their first word until 5 months after birth.<br>A month later babbling begins.<br>From 7 to 8 months of age the child begins to understand the primary language spoken around it, rather than multiple languages.<br>Between 8 to 12 months children begin to display gestures and begin to comprehend words.<br>At 13 months children speak their first words.<br>At 18 months vocabulary spurts begin. Vocabulary spurts are when children begin to learn multiple words.<br>Between 18 and 24 months of age children use two-word utterances</div>]]></description>
