There are a lot of factors that makes Christine feel different from everyone else. This is because of social roles most people have an idea on what a group should do and act. Christine does not fallow the norm for a female and that is why she is hesitant to tell people. Her social identity is different from most female, so she finds a group of people that are like her, and this helps relieve stress.

(Wood et al., 2014)

Christine was born as a female and at a young age she knew she felt uncomfortable with her body and preferred to play with her brother and father playing basketball. As she grew up going through different stages of life, she kept feeling more and more uncomfortable till she realized she wanted to be a male, not a female. She had difficulties coming out to her parents scared of their reaction when he did there were two mixed reactions, mother being supportive while father not accepting it drawing away from them. While the father believed this was a phase she was going through with psychology, we realized that was not the case and at the age of Three kids will know what gender they want to be.
