In 1969 he graduated from Yale University with the best marks, later Ben Carson changed to the University of Michigan and graduated in 1973. Later in 1976 he was engaged at John Hopkins Hospital as an assistant neurosurgeon. At the age of 34, in 1985, Ben Carson became Director of Paediatric Neurosurgery at John Hopkins Hospital. On 5 September 1987, Ben Carson's career reached its peak when he successfully separated two siamese twins named Patrick and Benjamin who were joined at the back of the head. Ben did not have an easy childhood, as his parents Sonya Carson and Robert Solomon Carson were divorced. So Ben Carson and his brother Curtis Carson were raised by their mother (Sonya Carson). But their mother suffered from depression and the two brothers Ben Carson and Curtis Carson noticed that their mother was not well. Because the mother was not well, she spent a lot of time in psychiatric hospitals. Ben Carson and his brother were often with their mother's friends. Because the mother wasn't alot at home , Ben Carson's school performance wasn't also very good. When the mother was better and could free herself from depression, she lived again with her sons Ben Carson and Curtis Carson. When the mother saw the school performance of her son Ben Carson, she forced him to study more for school.The studying paid off.
