Alex Honnold and his crazy rock climbing adventures are an example of nonconformity mainly because he uses no ropes no matter how high he is. He recently just towered one of the highest mountain faces in the Yosemite National Park without any ropes. He says, "If I needed ropes I would use them." He is a professional climber that has been climbing over time and soon got bored of it because it seemed risk full but not enough. So he began climbing without ropes.

John Long was one of the older nonconformists to try the extremes and he didn't just try one, he tried almost all of them. John caving, rock climbing, base jumping, and big wave surfing. He also wrote about all of his journeys and published separate books on almost all of the events.

My last peace of evidence is from the book "Into the Wild". Chris McCandless doesn't do any extreme sports like the others, but he showed that nonconformity can be a good thing to get away from everyday life. He left the status quo and did what he wanted to do to lice the life he envisioned for himself. Like these other rock climbers he lived his life the way he wanted to and did things the way he wanted to.
