The war on drugs is the anti-drug policy and actions of the Philippine's government under Duterte's command. This policy is aimed at the neutralization of illegal drug personalities nationwide. Duterte has urged members of the public to kill criminals and drug addicts.

From what I understood, it seems like President Rodrigo Duterte did not really bother about the safety of his country's people and also disregarded the damage he has done. He was willing to risk the welfare of the country for his war on drugs policy. Duterte was voted by very many citizens to become President of the Philippines. As a President, he should've been the one assuring his country's safety, but instead he chose violence. The war on drugs policy that President Rodrigo Duterte started has lead to the deaths of over 12,000 Filipinos.

Eversince he started to assumed the title, this order of "war on drugs" led to the deaths over 12,000 people.
