The Battle of Shiloh, also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, allowed Union soldiers to puncture the Confederate insides.The Union won against the confederation after the confederates were unable to hold their position. The South’s defeat at the Battle of Shiloh ended the Confederacy’s hopes of blocking the Union moving forward into the Mississippi and doomed the Confederate military to lead in the West.
