Teaching Digital Natives (TDN) is a Florida-based non-profit educational initiative founded in 2017 with a vision to provide technology, cybersecurity, and digital literacy education to kids. Since then, TDN has developed and hosted a series of programming focused on user education, including cyber boot camps for kids, teacher workshops, and seminars for parents on parenting the digital generation.
 
In 2020, we digitized our cybersecurity and digital literacy curriculum in a device agnostic, virtual reality environment for integration into K-12 educational institutions. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including cyber threats, cyber hygiene, online safety, chat room safety, trust and privacy in cyberspace, social media etiquette, cyber bullying, false information, sourcing the internet, among others. The virtual reality experience incorporates real life locations—home, school, and typical hangout spots—where cyber threats are likely to manifest.
