The Beitou Hot Springs Museum used to be called the "Beitou Public Bath" and was built during the Japanese rule. It was commissioned by the Taipei Governor at the time, Jingu Daikichi, and supervised by the government architect Matsunosuke Mori-yama. Completed on June 17, 1913, it's a two-story building in a mix of Eastern and Western styles, being the largest hot spring public bath in East Asia back then. Now a museum, it combines traditional, historical, and modern elements, making it an ideal place for visitors to explore Beitou's hot spring culture.
