My name is Rodrigo Guerrero and I am an EFL instructor who has been working at the University of Guayaquil for the last seventeen years. I have taught Linguistics, English for Specific Purposes, and recently English as a Foreign Language to young students at Unidad Educativa Fiscal Veintiocho de Mayo. During all this time, I have attended different academic and pedagogical courses because according to my teaching philosophy, teachers require to develop two fundamental aspects: The first aspect is that teachers know the subject they teach. To achieve this knowledge, educators need much study and bibliographic review. The second aspect is that teachers know how to teach new knowledge to students. In order to be able to teach effectively, teachers need to use appropriate strategies, techniques and resources to achieve meaningful learning in students. In addition to all this, I also consider important:

· To motivate students towards education by creating a favorable working environment.

· To use technology in the classroom as a resource to guide and facilitate teaching and learning.

· To encourage creativity in order to students develop tasks with enthusiasm.

· To create evaluation rubrics to inform students about how to do the activities.

· To evaluate knowledge in a formative way to provide immediate feedback and make necessary adjustments for summative assessment, and

To examine our teaching practices through classroom observation in order to update methodological procedures and establish a reflection on the effect of our work on students.
