Kramer's sole purpose in this book was to claim that witches existed and coexisted in our daily lives and that they worked for the devil. It became a manual to track down and kill people who were claimed to be witches. His book infleunced the idea that witches were the cause of all evil in our world for the purpose of serving the Devil and causing pain and suffering to humankind. Malleus was posed as the answer and was backuped with evidence that the church supported this belief in witches. Because it seemed that the church agreed with this anomaly thousands upon thousands died and were exected for supsection of being a witch.

A man named Matthew Hopkins would be known in history for being a vicious witch hunter devoted to his work. On Friday 21st of March, 1645, a group of women were sent to find a wtiches mark on the body of an eldery women called Elizabeth Clarke. Conviction could only happen if the victim had confessed to being in cahoots with the Devil. Elizabeth was sleep deprived and beaten by these women, a form of torture that was legal at the time. After 3 days of non- stop stravation, brutalization, and sleep deprivation Elizabeth couldn't take it anymore she confessed to being a witch. The crowd of specators in the court rooms hissed and heckled at innocent people suspected of witchcraft. A confession of a witch was enough to hang an innocent soul. As innocent people were hung in the gallows the crowd screamed at them with hate and disgust and rejoiced once they were hung. In 1702, the trials became banned and in 1711 a bill was passed to give money to the deceased heir as reparations. After this great tragedy in Salem, many were fascinated by the idea of witches and created tales of witchcraft. A famously known tale was written by Arthur Miller it is known as the Crucible.
