Rarely punching down, native Canadian's enjoy aiming jokes at figureheads in power and their oppressive legislation. Surviving years of genocide, cultural obliteration and subjection at the hands of colonizing forces, FNMI communities relied on humour to maintain their sanity and vent their pain and frustration.
