I am a Junior at the University of Arkansas, and a first generation college student!

I am an older sibling to my younger sister. She’s a Junior in high school, and I would consider her to be one of my best friends!

My style is very outdoorsy and athletic, and my favorite color is blue! Some might say my style reflects “Lululemon”, even though I only own one of their skirts.

My favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends, and play games! Pickleball, basketball, volleyball… you name it!

CAMP WAR EAGLE!

Camp deserves an entire column in my opinion. This place is one of the most important things in my life, and I love it so dearly.

I have met the most amazing people at Camp War Eagle, and it is the place that has brought me closer to the Lord and it the reason I want to be a teacher!

It has shown me what it is like to truly be there for kids, and what it looks like to serve them while serving in my faith.

If I was never a camper growing up, and never decided to apply in 2021, I would not be where I am now!

Why English Education?

I chose to major in English Education in hopes of becoming an English teacher because I value the craft of literature and language.

I have been the most impacted in my English and Reading classes, and I want to do that for other students as well.

My hope is to teach in the same area I grew up in because there is a large population of different minorities whose first language is not English. With that being said, my goal would be to help those who students and prepare them for a successful life in their small corner of the world!

I love to encourage others to be themselves and radiate their own sunshine!

and Bringing color into my style 👗

I think encouraging students to be creative is a crucial part of education. Whether that is in their writing, speaking, or just every day life, being creative and authentic is the best way to be!
