A certified chemistry and general science teacher, she brings her pedagogical and organizational skills to the East Ramapo Central and Hempstead New York school districts. Cynthia Partee has been the Ramapo High science department chair since 2003. Supervising 24 teachers, she evaluates lesson plans, revises lab teaching techniques, and observes teachers in class. She also collaborates on instructional goals with other department heads to boost grades. Ms. Partee taught chemistry to advanced placement students before her promotion. Concurrently, Ms. Partee is the science instructional coach at Hempstead High, where she works individually with 60 teachers. She also organizes weekly meetings, disseminates research findings, and involves teachers in carrying out the science curriculum. Previously, she led the science department at Division Avenue High, where she was responsible for professional development and facilitating student teams in academic competitions.
