I love visiting touristic places when they are empty. I had the oportunity of siting in Trafalgar Square (London) at night, when there was almost nobody and it was so nice. It gave me a very different point of view of the place.

Visiting street food markets

I love eating in street food markets and seeing how the food is prepared. The ones I most like are those where there is food from different countries. The smell of food belonging to contrasting cultures, languages and even music styles are the reasons why I find this places so special.

Nature

When I travel I don't only like to admire the views, I love spending time in nice and silent sites.
Last year I visited the White Cliffs of Dover. Before visiting this place, I already thought it would be beautiful. But when I was there it exceeded my expectations. To get there you have to walk up the hill for half an hour more or less and then you can do different routes to discover how beautiful the nature is there and reach the lighthouse at the end.
I spent some time just sitting on the green and fresh grass, and feeling the air coming from the sea, which is one of the things I love doing when travelling to places near the sea.

When I travel I love to plan the whole trip. Booking the place were I'm going to stay, creating a route with the places I want to vist and their historical background, looking for places where I can eat typical food... I enjoy the trip even before it starts.

Discovering abandoned places

I discovered this church while on my way to Tower Bridge in London, and it was so original and wild that I loved it. Last year I went there every time I could just to sit on a bench and spend some nice and calm time.

Street art

When you travel to a new city it is typical to use public transport in order to visit all the touristic spots there. However, I love to walk all over the city if I have time. There are lot of streets where you can find beautiful and interesting pieces of street art. I took this picture in London and it amazed me.

I went to Rome

This year in February I went with my friends to Rome, and also like Elsa I like to organize my trips so that I can see everything and not leave anything behind before returning to Madrid. Obviously, the typical food there I knew was pizza and pasta, but the truth is that it is not the same to eat the products there as in my city. For example, carbonara is not made with cream and I assure you that it was much richer. Now I can say that real pasta is delicious. Before Covid-19 I also traveled to London, but for me, Rome has something special and I consider it one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. My favorite place is the one in the picture, it's the Piazza de Venezia and it's huge. It is beautiful! Every day we planned what we were going to do, besides Rome is a city where you can practically visit everything by walking because it is relatively close, although of course, my friends and I went for only 3 days and those days we were non-stop walking, from one place to another, visiting all the known places and some not so well known that were also very nice, and that made my feet hurt a lot, but I would definitely repeat the trip 100 times more.

Taking into account I love traveling to different places, I like so much the section you have chosen! After reading all your posts, one of the processes I enjoy the most about traveling is the unexpected moments life brings to your journey. This picture was taken by us in Galicia, and I remember it fondly. It was around 21:30 and we had just finished our dinner in the hotel we were staying at, and we wanted to go somewhere near our room because that day we were extremely tired. When we went outside the restaurant, we saw this incredible sunset. I remember we looked at each other and we started running to the nearest beach we had (5 minutes, it wasn't so far away 🤣). When we arrived we sat down in the sand and we got relaxed seeing the views. I really loved that moment.

Getting lost in the streets

Despite the fact I love visiting the most touristic places of a city, one of my favorite activities while traveling and knowing new places is walking around the streets aimlessly. I believe this is the best way of discovering hidden places of the city. I took this picture in Mérida. I went there with my boyfriend a year ago, and this thing of getting lost in the streets got out of hand 🤣. We appeared in the 'suburbs' of the city and the sun was hiding. I got a little bit nervous, but now we have the facility of opening 'Google Maps' and while my partner was searching for the direction of our hotel I took this photo for remembering the moment 😁. Anyway I still love doing this activity.
