When I was younger, I really liked music and it would always help me cope with things like emotions, not really having any friends, having another mom, my biological mom leaving me and starting another family. It helped me cope with a lot of things and if I didn't have music playing then I would sing or hum to a song that I love. I've never been able to really process emotions easily like a lot of the other kids did so when I listened to music it helped a lot with my mood and it helped me with expressing emotions

For awhile music has been my therapy and my coping mechanism. It still is my therapy and coping mechanism. Music is a good source of therapy and it helps a lot when you can't cope with things. It can bring you to a whole different mind set and it can calm your nerves when you aren't able to talk to people properly. I've found that "Music therapy is used to aid in physical discomfort by improving respiration, lowering blood pressure, improved cardiac output, reduced heart rate and relaxed muscle tension. For mental health, this form of therapy is great for reducing stress' common negative side effects, such as emotional and behavioral problems."

There is a lot of good music to choose from to help cope with problems. "The psychological effects of music can be powerful and wide-ranging. Music therapy is an intervention sometimes used to promote emotional health, help patients cope with stress, and boost psychological well-being."
