I really hate using NVivo for qualitative coding. It seems like the software hasn't changed since I was in grad school more than a decade ago. Not intitutive in it's structure and not user friendly at all. Look forward to using more AI tools for analysis.

Sometimes participants don't answer questions in a straightforward manner, or end up talking about something completely off topic. I do my best to repeat the question or reframe the question when needed, but I also recognize the need to stay within time parameters and get other questions answered. Can we talk about how others approach this challenge?

Probably like everyone else, I'm looking forward to using AI to support qualitative coding and analysis. I'd also like the CoP to consider tools that a facilitator can use to self-reflect on their performance and the quality of responses they elicit from participants during focus groups and/or interviews. We often have a single shot to interview individuals for a study. Self-assessing our facilitation would help self-correction and improvement before all FG or interview data are collected for a study or project.

Leading thoughtful group discussions and summarizing findings are my jam.
