         <description><![CDATA[<div>21st Century Skills is a term that refers to the knowledge and skills that are needed to be successful in the world today. This includes basic skills that employees would need to know upon entering the workforce, a baseline for academic knowledge such as reasoning and content mastery, problem-solving, and technology that one might encounter at work or in social settings. All of these skills are useful for people to function in society, in school, and at work.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>These skills are important in education because they allow teachers to integrate them into their curriculum and strategies. Students who are well versed in 21st Century Skills will be more engaged learners, better citizens, and more equipped to take on challenges both in school and in the work force. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The three categories of 21st Century skills are learning and innovation, information, media, and technology, and life and career. Each of these have sub categories that help us understand what they entail and how we can use them. <br><br>Learning and innovation includes thinking creatively, working creatively with peers, problem-solving, reasoning, and communicating clearly.<br><br>Innovation, Media, and Technology includes finding and accessing materials, using, managing and analyzing those materials, and appropriately and effectively implementing technology and materials found using technology.<br><br>Life and Career consists of being flexible, adapting to change, time-management, interacting and working effectively with others, being a leader, and being responsible. </div>]]></description>
