Hurricanes bring destructive winds, torrential rains, floods and tornadoes. A single storm can wreak havoc on coastal and inland populations and in natural spaces in hundreds of square kilometers. But what is a hurricane? It is one of the most devastating weather phenomena since they are capable of destroying large areas and territories reaching speeds that can exceed 250 km / h.

This phenomenon is formed from low pressure systems with rainy and electric activity. Hurricanes have different names according to the area or region in which they occur.

There are a number of causes and favorable dispositions for these hurricanes to occur. Thus, low pressure systems and tropical waves are usually formed in warm tropical waters. We can say that there are 5 fundamental factors that must be present for a hurricane:
 the ocean water is evaporating at the accelerated level required for the hurricane to form. It is this process of evaporation and the eventual condensation of water vapor in the form of clouds, which releases the energy that gives the stormy system strength to generate strong winds and rain.

Wind: weak winds in high levels of the atmosphere that do not change much in direction and speed. At high levels of the atmosphere, the winds must be weak so that the structure remains intact and this cycle is not interrupted.Humidity: the hurricane needs the evaporation energy as fuel and for that there must be a lot of humidity. Moisture is more easily available on the sea, so that its advance and increase in energy occurs there more easily, weakening instead on reaching the mainland.
