In my opinion I think that Sophocles quote means that your own situations are what keeps you from doing things and proceeding with what you are trying to do and that its up to you to get what ever it is holding you back off your shoulders:)

You are responsible for your life, and your ultimate success depends on the choices you make.” by Denis Waitley, I believe Waitley is trying to explain that as you grow older your grow wiser, but when you embrace that your actions have consequences either good or bad no matter what and that you are responsible for your own life and your own success then it shows a great amount of wisdom in you since you accept that reality.

I chose the quote by Sophocles because he showed how us as humans make many mistakes and we tend to blame our problems on people around us because we can’t accept the fact that we screwed up, but when u look in the mirror at the end of the day you still did what you did. I chose the quote of sophocles. I think that he is trying to say that it is sad to face the reality of your mour mistakes. In the moment they may seem right and benefit yourself, but then comes a time where it will come back to catch you. Most of the time it is a negative impact and can destroy youre life in an instant. When you realize that, it is kind of painful to see, especially since it was you who caused it all.
