I finally get to board the plane after 3-4 hours of seating in the airport, I was pretty excited so serve, so see the kids in Balikpapan, and also to make good memories with everyone who is coming. I didn't do much stuff on the airplane because I actually forgot to download movies or even songs for me to watch and listen on the airplane since I was very excited to pack well and also rest well the night before.

I arrived in Balikpapan, it was around 2 to 3pm, everyone went to grab their luggages and we went to the van too after. We didn't know where we were going but we ended up arriving in a restaurant. I was quite hungry so I ate well while talking to some friends, turns out there are lots of things that we are familiar with that made the conversation even more fun, and we didn't even know about that because I think its the first time we talked to each other.

After we ate we went to the hotel, left our luggages in the hotel room and eventually went to a church to do some practice for the next day because we're going to do a church service, some of us are going to sing, play an instrument, do a storytelling, and even helping the kids with their arts & craft.

We ended the practice at 8pm and went to a restaurant to eat seafood and went back to the hotel.

That's it for day 1.

At first they started by doing praise and worship that was led by one of the worship leader for the kids service there, everyone was excited, they clapped their hands, jumped, and had fun while praising and worshiping God with their friends.

After that we started the storytelling that is about the rabbit and the turtle, gladly the kids really liked the storytelling. After that the kids are assigned to make a frog origami.

Time went by so fast that we didn't even realized that we spent half of the day at church. Soon after we said are goodbyes we went to the supermarket to buy lots of stuff for the orphanages that we are going to visit in the days ahead, each group has to buy all the things in the list for the orphanage they are in charged of, we went back to the hotel after, dropped the groceries there and finally ate lunch.

We went to the orphanage as the last destination of the day for us to serve, we played with the kids there, we made bracelets, talked, played musical chair and get to know them well, but eventually we have to part ways and say our goodbyes.

That's it for day 2.

As I said before we didn't have much time so we have to part ways already. We were suppose to go to IKN that day but turns out IKN is closed so we ended up going to a beach, some of us were disappointed because we're not going to IKN. After we went to the beach, we went to Samba which is close to IKN but we went to a place called 'Lakeview IKN' which has rides or attractions that you can try. We had fun.

We ate dinner in a place that is very close to a beach, with a nice view of course, everyone took pictures there. And we finally went home.

That's it for day 3.

Didn't even realized that we have spent half of the day just in the school, but we finally have to say our goodbyes, but it actually doesn't matter because we're going to comeback the day after.

From there we ate lunch and comeback to our hotel to change and rest for a bit, and we went to another orphanage. This orphanage contains 3 kids (there are more kids but some of them are already working or still at school).

Since there is a bigger outdoor space in this orphanage, we get to play outdoor games that made our bond with he kids even more stronger, because most of the games uses teamwork. We played musical chair, flour relay, and walking cardboard.

The kids from the orphanage and even us UPHC Students really had fun with all the games here. Everyone ended up going home with at least a splotch of flour either on their head or on their shirt that day.

After that we ate dinner outside and went back to the hotel.

That's it for day 4.

They hugged me when I had to leave. They really didn't want me to leave. I hope I can meet them another time, when they grew up maybe.

After all of us are finished with our own duties, we ate lunch, and straight away went to the last orphanage in our rundown.

We were there for a short time, but we played games like charades, and the concentration game, and we all seem to enjoy it.

After that we ate dinner because it was late and eventually went back to the hotel.

That's it for day 5.

I was assigned to be in 6th grade with 3 of my friends.

We didn't have much time there. When we arrived the school really made a warm welcome for us, they all came out to greet us and welcomed us with a traditional dance by some of the 5th grader and 6th grader students.

After the whole welcoming session, we went to class and played some games to entertain the students such as charades. After that we were separated to 4 groups, I am the mentor for group 1 and we did painting by numbers, the seem to like it and they enjoyed it as well. Since they are 6th grader students, what they like or familiar with is quite similar with me, they asked me if I like JKT48, they also asked me if I watch anime or not, etc. They are very polite and nice though. After were done some students even from other classes came to me only to ask for my autograph, my phone number, and my instagram, which is a new thing to me. Some of them even contacted me when I got home.

After were done my YIM teacher told us that we are going to another orphanage that isn't in the rundown and we don't even have the list on what we're going to do there but we ended up going anyways.

We even have to eat in the van because my YIM teacher said that the orphanage is very far away that we didn't have time to even eat lunch somewhere.

the road to go to that "orphanage" is very extreme, I would describe the track similar to a rollercoaster track. but when we arrived, we arrived in some sort of rest area and it has a big sign that says Nusantara, my brain was still not connecting there because from what I heard the new capital of Indonesia Nusantara is currently closed for public. But guess what turns out my YIM teacher pranked us and we are actually going to the new capital. I got really excited and hyped up there, I was preparing everything, and we finally got the tickets.

We waited for the bus to take us to Nusantara, and when is stepped my foot in Nusantara, I felt happiness bursting into myself, I can't believe I finally arrived there, I didn't even see myself here in the next 10 years. So the whole experience is unbelievable for me, we were there for around 3 hours and it didn't even felt like 3 hours. I drank a cup of coffee there since there was already a cafe there, took some pictures, had fun with my friends, and finally have to get back because the maximum time for you too stay there is only until 5pm.

After that we got back to our van, and its a 1-2 hour drive to get back to Balikpapan, we ate dinner together and cherished our last moments there, then finally got back to our hotel.

That's it for day 6

After that we went to a restaurant to eat some crabs, then went straight to the airport.

I did the baggage check-in then boarded my flight. When I arrived home, I was glad to be back home to my safest place but I'm also glad that I had this experience, I learnt a lot of stuff through this and I cant wait for my next one.
