Media technologies were important throughout the whole process of my main product and ancillary tasks. The internet played a massive role in my process as it was mainly used for my research into different genres and what audiences are like. ‘Survey Monkey’ is an online survey tool which allows you to create a survey and share it onto multiple platforms to gain feedback then it analyses your results for you. This was used at the beginning to find out what my audience was interested in and what they wanted within my products. Blogger is a main technology which I used. This formed the basis of my portfolio by allowing me to organise my own blog and upload all the research, planning and evaluation. Social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram were used for presenting my work on various media platforms. A camera played a massive role in all my stages as I photographed and filmed on my camera and then uploaded the content to a Mac. I used the Mac to gain access to Photoshop. Photoshop gave me the opportunity to edit my magazine advert and digipak. I used Photoshop to create each part of my digipak separately to make my products more professional. I was then able to put them all together in the correct layout. The Mac also gave me access to Final Cut Pro. This is the software I used to create my music video. Final Cut Pro enabled me to import my clips, put filters on the clips, slow or speed up the duration, and add text onto each clip. Presentation websites also contributed to my work throughout each stage such as Prezi, Slideshare, Emaze and Padlet. Each of there was a different media platform that displayed my work on my blog. Without technology, I would not have been able to record and display my work in an organised manner. Media technology has massively advanced over the years making it more accessible and easier to create a professional product.
