1. What do you find most challenging about practicing your instrument?

figuring out what to practice is the most difficult for me.
2. How do you stay focused during practice sessions?

Trying not to practice with people who distract me.
3. What strategies can you use to improve your practice?

practice from the basics. Because if you can play the basics properly then everything will become 100 percent easier.
4. How do you manage your time when practicing? (and when you practice)

i usually start with warmups for 10 mins and then i try to work on the peice im learning
5. What motivates you to keep practicing, even when it gets difficult?

Thinking about why I wanted to play the instrument and my role models who play music.

・he also told me to spend more time practicing my strumming and so then i can get more comfortable

・i would complete all my videos

・i practice quite alot out side of class so probably tonight

・uhm go to my room and look at my bass

• i think by the singers dancing and hyping the crowd up it made the performance better and made it a better experience

• i would be more confident and hype up the singers to make the performance better

• my singing skills for sure since ive never sung before!!

• i think it made me more confident and now that ive done that i would like to try new things on the stage to become a better performance

• it helps each performer be more confident and have a bigger voice

  very productive. next time id like to be able to play the middle part.

Living in the favelas helped create samba music because people brought African rhythms and traditions with them. Over time, this mix of cultures and community spirit shaped samba into a lively and expressive style of music that became popular all over Brazil, especially during Carnival.
2. What are some important features of Samba music? Why do you think they are important?3. How did Samba become popular across all of Brazil, not just in the favelas?

• Strong rhythms and beats

• Call and response singing

• Use of percussion instruments

• Lively and fast tempo

  exciting, fun, and perfect for dancing. The rhythm brings people together and shows the energy and spirit of Brazilian culture.

4. The video says Samba brings hope to people. What do you think about that? Do you agree?

yes because even in a dangerous part of brazil such as the favelas it gives you hope that music makes everyone happy and music can bring together a community.

5. What is one interesting thing you learned about Samba, favelas, or Carnaval? Why did it catch your attention?

It was super cool how the whole entire brazil contributes to the carnival and how even me who isn't brazilian can enjoy such a culture.
