Summary: It seems like Gabrielle killed the principal and then hit Blythe on the head. However, Blythe doesn’t remember what happened and thinks she slit at the bathroom and knock her head against the sink. She attended the funeral of Meeks but she is hallucinating because of the concussions. Blythe’s parents are discussing through the phone about finding out what really happened.

Compare your book to another piece of media and why.

This book remainders me of the movie and book of 13 Reasons Why since there is a lot of suspense, it is mostly focus about school, group of teenagers, death in a way and the struggles faced by teenagers. I believe suspense is the biggest aspect this two medias have in common since Gabrielle, Blythe’s friend, may have killed the Vice President of the school but it seems like the book is taking us to find out what really happened and that is similar to 13 Reasons Why, where we are finding out the reasons why Hannah, the main character, committed suicide.

Summary: Tucker and Tanya went to pick up Blythe and Sydney to take them to school because of Blythe‘s concussion. Blythe was not sure if she should go with them but they convinced her. During the car ride they talked about Meeks’ death but Blythe started to think about the blood she saw and ask them to change the topic. She doesn’t remember well the conversation with Devon and he tells her they need to talk.

This meme connects to the character of Blythe during this scenes since she could not remember much because of the concussion. She forgot she talked to Devon and that she was supposed to text him; the small concussion affected her short-term memory. However, Devon thought she was just being sarcastic about not remembering until she showed him the injury. In this meme we see Dory, which suffers from short-term memory loss. This connects to Blythe since she is having issues with remembering what happened that day of the accident.

Summary: During these pages Blythe is still affected by the concussion she believes she got from hitting herself with sink. When Devon an old friend-who separated from their group and turned into a completely different person- asked Blythe why she didn’t text her about what happened with Gabrielle that day and he starts to insinuate if Gabrielle was the one that killed Meek. However, Blythe is wrapped on the ostensibly idea that she was hit by the sink and Meek killed himself and is not thinking further than that, since she doesn’t remember.

Prompt: Choose a song that matches the tone or mood of your book.

A song that song that reminds me of the tone and mood of my book I believe is “ Loose Control” since it is like a mysterious and suspenseful melody which is exactly what the tone of this book is. In this song it says “ You make a mess of me. Problematic….I lose control” which also connects to the theme and story of the book since the characters seem to have gone through really hard situations and problems. In addition, about loosing control we can talk about Gabrielle who got really concern annd hysterical about the cameras and might have killed Meeks.

Summary: During this part of the book Blythe is at the mall with Gabrielle where they discuss the reason why maybe she is scared of cameras and they got to the conclusion that it might be because of her social anxiety. After Blythe is doing her homework on a call with Callum (her boyfriend), when she received a suspicious email with her name, telling her they can tell her the truth if she is willing to care and listen and share a link with it. She deletes it but starts to overthink it.

Prompt: Invent a twist that could happen in our boom hasn’t yet.

A possible twist is that Gabrielle did killed Meeks. The affinity between Blythe and Tucker is really strong, which may led them to go back together and Tucker might figure out what actually happened with Meeks. I also believe maybe Callum has something to do with what Gabrielle did and the emails sent to Blythe are to bamboozle Blythe.
