<description>Read the last page of the first chapter of Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five. We will create a first and last line to a scene or story on Padlet. Then, fill in an entry on the timeline between the two to complete our story.

From Slaughterhouse Five
By Kurt Vonnegut

People aren&#39;t supposed to look back. I&#39;m certainly not going to do it anymore.

I’ve finished my war book now. The next one I write is going to be fun.

This one is a failure, and had to be, since it was written by a pillar of salt. It begins
like this:

Listen:
Billy Pilgrim has come unstuck in time.

It ends like this:
Poo-tee-weet?

<title>We used to go and watch the Cultural Festival every year, and I can&#39;t imagine somebody wanting to end something so magical. They were always filled with gorgeous lights and music flowing throughout the entire city.</title>

<title>People found oil underneath the sites of the festival. People stole the happiness, culture, and memories of others for money. This piece of my life-of everybody&#39;s in West Texas- is broken and empty because of selfish people. </title>

<title>I now have dreams of seeing Billy up on the stage and singing his heart out. He is so close that I could run up to him, but my vision becomes blurry as I get closer. Billy isn&#39;t the talented musician I used to know. He joins the ghosts of the Cultural Festival as oilmen tear down the huge stage. </title>
