Then I was exposed to an overview of the layout of the Carebin and the type of room provided by this 1108 Carebin Taman Tasik YDP. They also showed me the difference between the hotel's type of bed and room to provide to customers.

I also learned how to make registration, check in guests, and check out guests using the ABS post system. From the system, we can make guest registration for reservations and key in customer's data to print it as proof that the registration is successful.

In addition, I have also been taught to turn on and use the blower. This is because the parking lot and park in front of the Carebin are always full of fallen leaves. So I have been instructed to use a blower instead of using a broom  because it is easier to move and clear all the leaves in just a couple of minutes.

Early in the morning, I started by sweeping the upstairs and downstairs corridors. After sweeping the corridor, I watered the flowers in the garden inside Carebin while waiting for the guest to check out. The time set for guest check-out is before 12 noon. Before 12 noon on that day, I checked out the guest by asking for the key room from the guest and returning the deposit money. Once the guests for a room have left, I will do housekeeping in that room.
The housekeeping work done for each room is the same for all rooms. That is, take off the sheets that have been used and replace them with new ones. After that, wash the toilet, sweep the room, mop the floor and finally sanitize the room before locking it.

A total of 5 rooms need to be cleaned and housekeeping before waiting for the guest check-in time at 2 pm onwards.

In the evening, before I finished my work, I watered the flowers.

After that, I took care of the guest check-out at the office. The handing over of the room keys and the return of the room deposit are done at that time. 

A total of 9 rooms need to be cleaned and housekeeping before waiting for the guest check-in time at 2 pm onwards. But on that day I felt so blessed because my partner helped me to do housekeeping with me. I take in charge of changing the new linen and my partner is in charge of cleaning the toilet. We finished the housekeeping by 4 PM. Besides that, I also checked all the rooms to clean out all the dust and lizard dung in the room.

When it was time for guests to check out, the key handover and deposit money session was done in the office. 

After all the guests had a check-out, I started to do 3 rooms for housekeeping.

Then I started to check and clean all the empty rooms to remove all the lizard dung and dust.

By the time it passed before 12PM, I was in charge of checking out guests using the ABS Post System, collecting room keys, and returning deposit money to the guest. After that, I started to do 2 rooms for housekeeping.

I will recheck all rooms before guests come and check-in. It is to double confirm that the room is surely clean from dust and lizard dung. 

I swept the corridor area in a few minutes.

After that, I arranged for the guest to check in.

While waiting for the guest to check in or walk in, I made the linen that had just arrived from the laundry. and then update the stock by calculating how many stocks are available that day.

I have learned how to check stock everyday. It is a must now because I can know for much stock are left.

After that, check all empty rooms for a second time on that day.

Then on 7PM i switch on all the lamp in Carebin area.

And after that, sorting out the new linen arrived yesterday. Upon completion, I calculated the stock check for the day.

I approach the guests by giving flyers and providing information about the package.

On that day, only 1 package was sold.
At 7 o'clock, before we left the booth, we packed up the booth just as we first came. 

The event starts at 9am. Before starting, I set up the booth. Once reached at 9am, more people came into the hall and started to go to each booth to see the packages offered.

In the meantime I distributed the brochures/flyers to the people, I also explained and answered the questions they asked about the packages.

For this second day, I sold to almost 6 customers. And there are two customers who bought two packages of room stay & Sg Klah Hot Spring in Sungkai.

Then I also sold room stay & white water rafting in Slim River to one customer.

By the time of 7pm, I packed up stuff and cleaned up the booth to go back to Slim River.

I was taught by Cik Ani related to the guest check-in process to this hotel. She also told the room types according to the room number. I was also brought in to see each type of room. In addition, she also taught me what to do in the evening if no one was at the hotel. I had to go down to the cafe to help if necessary.

So in the evening when no one checked in, I would go down to the cafe. At the cafe I learned about table numbers in order, how to write an order in a book and how to write an order in a receipt book. In addition, I also take orders, make water and deliver food.

Apart from that I also do OT for 6 hours from 5pm-11pm.

At 5 o'clock I checked in with two guests. After that I went down to the cafe to help the cafe people with the Ramadan set.
For midnight work, I started locking the fence at 3am then started a sweeping and mopping session of the hotel corridors and stairs. At 5am I unlocked the gate.

I was on duty at the front desk until 6 o'clock, then I went down to the cafe to help with the Ramadan set at that time.

During my time at the front desk, I also helped Kak Ira and Cik Ani bring down and up the dirty and clean laundry.

I stayed at the reception until 6 o'clock then I went down to help at the cafe. Apart from making water and taking orders I also helped to lift up the tables and chairs outside the cafe inside to close the shop. In the meantime at the cafe that night, I also checked in guests at the hotel.

When there are no guests in the hotel, I go down to the cafe to help if necessary.

The work that I do in the cafe is to make water, deliver food, lift dirty plates and cups, wipe tables and wash spoons and cups. Helping in closing the rollshutter and lifting up the tables and chairs outside the cafe.

I assist in the check-in of guests into the hotel.

After that I went down to the cafe for a set of ramadan time after that.

The peak time that customers always come is when breaking fast and moreh time. So that we all do not win hands to serve all customers.

After the guest registration is done, I help the people at the cafe by taking orders, making water, washing cups and so on.

I checked in the guests then after that I went down to the cafe to help the cafe people with the Ramadan set.

Due to many bookings for the Ramadan set at the time, I was asked to OT and help the cafe staff starting at 6:30 pm-11pm.

In the meantime, I also have a check-in guest at the hotel.

This time I'm doing overtime working only for two hours to cover the Ramadan set only, at 6-8pm. 

I also send messages to guests who make reservations through Agoda and Booking.com, about the booking clash. The message was sent to get their phone number so that we could explain in more detail through a phone conversation.

Today the cafe should be closed. But because this is the last week of Ramadan, the cafe is not closed. For that reason too, the cafe receives a lot of response from guests who come non-stop. Due to that, I who work at night also have to come down and help out at the cafe.
On this day too, there has been a leak at the staircase. The reason was because the previous day the hotel rooms were mostly full so the pipes in the rooms without windows were clogged.

That night I also had to mop many times to avoid more water stagnant on the stairs.

Working at night as usual I sweep and then mop the corridor floor and stair floor.

The leaking water was still flowing a lot and I had to mop trice until early in the morning.

At that time, I also had sent a message to guests about the problem of leaking pipes that occurred in this hotel. In addition, I have pasted caution signage on the stairs.

Due to this year's Eid in panic and last minute, so during the night work I have to answer dozens of calls asking about room vacancy. Not just a call, but they also came to the hotel to ask about room availability until early in the morning.

After I finished work at 8 am, I took a nap and woke up to help Cik Ani with housekeeping from 10 am to 12 noon.

On this first Raya also the water was still flowing on the stairs, so I had to mop to avoid the stairs getting too wet. Because it will risk the safety of guests that pass the stairs.

That night too I was still answering dozens of calls asking about room vacancies.

At night I sweep the corridors. Due to this Raya season many people came to ask about vacancy rooms so I didn’t lock the fence for a few days during this Raya week. And this night too I still have to pick up a lot of phone calls.

And that morning I did OT for 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting for Cik Ani to come to work. I could not leave the front desk with no employees because I was afraid of if there would be guests checking out during that period.

After that I resumed work at 11pm. I did my night job as usual which was sweeping and mopping the floor and stairs of the hotel. Apart from that I also answered phone calls.

And then I continued OT from 7pm to 11pm at the cafe due to lack of employees and many customers came non-stop. I stayed at the cafe from 12 to 1 am until the cafe closed. I also help to lift up tables and chairs outside the cafe.

After work in the cafe I continued the night shift at the hotel until 8am.

At the cafe, I help to make water, take orders, deliver food, lift dirty plates and cups, wash cups and spoons and then wipe the fork and spoons and wrap it with tissues as preparation for the next day.

During my OT in the cafe, I also had a guest check-in at the hotel.

After the cafe closed, I resumed my work at the hotel until 8am. As usual my night job was to stay at the reception, sweeping and mopping the hotel floor and stairs.

After that, continue working the night shift until 8 am.

Then from 1 pm - 2 pm, I helped Cik Ani and Kak Ira to do housekeeping at the apartment.

Since now the customers in the cafe have decreased and there are already enough employees, I have rarely come down to help in the cafe. So I have spent a lot of time at the hotel reception.

Reached at ICC at 9:40 AM then straight setup the booth because right at 10am visitors are allowed to enter the exhibiton hall.

Honestly, I said from the first day, the hype was a bit down compared to the previous MATTA fair event at the WTC. And the majority of visitors are Chinese.

I distribute flyers to visitors who come as well as explain to them and answer questions asked. On this first day, I only got one sale, a package at the Sungkai & Hot Spring Sg Klah hotel.
