They would argue that social media should be more regulated so they can build more relationships together by using the internet unaffected by toxic users on social media.

These social media platforms that have their own website is crucial to discuss during the cultural/social lens because they are who create their own social media website and should be responsible for sustaining a friendly and moral online space for their users. Thus, although one would think they would support their social media to be regulated, they would actually probably not agree with social media regulation because it would create more work to do on their platform.

These social media platforms play a big role in the futuristic lens because if their platforms become worse and worse in the future without regulation, then one could expect these social media platforms to become negatively impacted without ther regulation to keep out negative posts, comments, and information on their website. Due to these conditions, social media platforms would support regualtion this time because they would hope to sustain their social media platform by making it a better place, and thus influencing positive interpersonal communications.
