         <description><![CDATA[<p>Not sure whether this question is appropriate for this panel, but it’s coming from what I’ve heard so far yesterday and today. I’m interested in the ethical issues in the tensions among higher ed, industry, and government. The biggest names in AI are cultivating relationships with the most powerful politicians (and at least one tech leader is fully embedded), and the current administration seems bent on dismantling the Department of Education. How concerned should we be about the potential for the marriage between big tech and big government to further undermine and even move to replace or eliminate universities that aren’t fully aligned with powerful industry partners?</p>]]></description>
