Of the several roles that a teacher may have, providing a positive environment that promotes collaborative thinking, development of critical thinking, understanding of good moral ethics and cultures, and respect for a set of rules. All of those characteristics of the teachers role can be outlined or taken care of through appropriate classroom management strategies. I used the term "appropriate" because what works for some may not work for others, or may stop working over time.

The teacher stands as an example to the students of their classroom. Students in time gain respect to their educator by the respect that teachers show them, and the professionalism and consistency in classroom policy that that teacher carries out. Establishing roles, applying rules to benefit the wellness of the classroom, and effectively responding to the behavior of students evokes the presence of respect. Responsibility is instilled by constantly ensuring and reminding students of the established rules.

Building relationships creates a positive, caring, and understanding community. As the teacher, at the start of the course, their job is to initiate the bonding that would soon become more natural. "A critical component of developing relationships is knowing and understanding the learner. Teachers must take steps to learn and understand the unique qualities of middle grades students, who are at a crucial time in their development." Developing relationships is also closely correlated to the classroom strategy bringing importance multiculturalism and mutual respect.

This awareness helps prepare teachers to identify and work through any existing intolerance they may have for students who come from different ethnic, racial, class, or religious backgrounds."("Understanding Individualized Education Programs", 2017)
