Detectives cannot find any physical evidence that links Adnan to the murder of Hae Min Lee. The only evidence is a palm print found on a map in Hae's car. This is not unusual because Adnan and Hae were dating. One palm print shouldn't be considered significant evidence to convict Adnan.

Asia McClain specifically remembers seeing Adnan at the public library. She states that she remembers the day because she was mad at her boyfriend because he was a few hours late to pick her up. In her free time, she chatted with Adnan while he was at the computer. She remembers January 13th because it was the first snow of the year. Later research states that on this day, Maryland issued a State of Emergency because of the snow. This means that the students would have been out of school for the rest of the week.

Sarah talks to Rabia bout Adnan. Rabia claims that Adnan was the "community's golden child"(Episode 1 at 8:41)
In society, people view public servants such as firefighters and police officers as people who can be trusted. Since Adnan was willing to risk his life for others, one can assume that he put a very high price on life.

A fellow member of Adnan's track team was interviewed. His name was Will. He agreed that track practice did start at 4. He also claims that there was no reason to be late, so if somebody was late, that person would receive the consequences and be forced to run extra time. If Adnan had been late, it would be memorable.

The state took the word of a drug dealer, who was an accessory to the murder of Hae Min Lee, to convict Adnan. Through out the podcast, Jay changes his story very often. This fact immediately throws a red flag. He gives the police the wrong location of where she was killed, but then he changes it. He also admits to assisting Adnan with burying Hae. This should look suspicious o detectives. While Jay is constantly changing his story, Adnan is not changing as much.

Adnan's cell phone records put the cell phone near Leakin Park at the time that Jay states the body is burried. There is no way of knowing that Adnan was with the cell phone. The only witness was Jay, but since his story is not constant, he may not be telling the truth about Adnan's presence. What is unclear, is the time that Jay gave Adnan his phone back. Jay could have still had the phone at the time of the murder.
