The demonstrations are very clear, especially for visual learners. Students use whiteboards a lot during mental Maths lessons and I get them to actually 'show their working out'. Students also work together to solve problems. Mathletics is an ongoing thing in PYP6. At the moment we are starting a unit on Multiplication and Division and the students in their Maths groups are doing a Pre-Assessment. After each question they rate how they found that question (green) if they found it easy.. ready to move on, orange if they needed time to think and remember and red if it was hard and they needed to build their prior knowledge.
