As each Teacher Candidate enters the DSC ECE Teacher Preparation Program, they decorate their own version of the school mascot. After two years of tradition, the building is filled with hundreds of roadrunners. At graduation, each student places a cap on their bird.

It takes time and patience to build trust with those who are typically served in the self-contained setting. This student loved to walk around barefoot and enjoyed the chance to paint with his feet. The lines on the paper were made by a student who was moved from his wheelchair to a stroller so he could roll in the paint.

Chance Art
