the blue man told Eddie how he killed him. but Eddie not remembering that day like that didn't understand and immendently got deffensive. I just thought it connected to me like when my mom tells me I did something and I swore I didn't but she explains it in her point of view and I connect it back immendently and remember.

this is when he told his mom about the girl he thought he would marry and even tho he was embarrassed he still bonded with his mom. a bond he doesn't have with his dad. I connected this back to my life. I never had a bond with my father. but me and my mom are beyond close and I cant imagine my life without her.

After all of this, the blue man giving him the reason why he is first person all he cares about is if he saved the girl. this made me think about Lennie and George. the protectiveness that he had over this girl reminds me of the protectiveness that George had over Lennie.

this is when Eddie questions what food came from the blue man's death and how it was how Eddie got to live and this reminded me of Eddie and the little girl. he put his life on the line just like the blue man did for him but for the little girl.

Eddie was known through out the book to have a soft spot of little kids. but finding him having his soft connection to anyone else that s not a I'd is rare. so I thought this was important that as the more story he has heard he grows sympathy and love for others.

I thought this was important because through there whole story we know Eddie is not happy working at the pier but in this part we learn although he didn't enjoy working at the pier he did it out of love for his mother. although he says eh had no choice he did and he chose love.

eddie didn't believe that people die from loyality but I just thought this was an important part because we hear him say this but from the begining of the book he dies for a little girl. and he died for her out of loyalty. as much as he hated his job he had loyalty for the kids.

as much as Eddie had hate for his father throughout the entire book.he had this negative view towards his father but when learning more seeing different point of views his hate for his father faded and when he saw his father in the hospital he couldn't help but have this emotional love moment. weather his father could hear him or not.
