Macbeth says that he was hailed Thane of Cawdor just like the witches had said. The witches also said that he was going to be king and he is hoping that it will come true.

Macbeth said in the letter weird sisters (the witches)came to tell him news that he was going to be King and in order to be king he would have to kill the King that is ruling right now. Lady Macbeth knows her husband and wants him to be king . She knows that if Macbeth wants to be king then he will have to change his ways because he is to kind.

Lady Macbeth reads the letter sent to her by her husband, Macbeth. In the letter Macbeth describes his encounter with the witches and tells her that they greeted him as Thane of Glamis and Cawdor as well as soon-to-be King. He told her that it was confirmed that he is the new Thane of Cawdor and that she has the right to know the happy news that he will soon be King.

Lady Macbeth seems to understand that this means that he is contemplating an attempt to murder the King. However, she does not believe he has the heart to do such a thing and has taken it upon herself to encourage him despite whatever doubts he may have.

Macbeth is visited by three witches and he tells his wife this in the letter that he writes her. He tells all of the predictions that they told him and that two of them already came true. He is now predicted to become king.

lady Macbeth says she knows he'll have to kill for him to become king but he doesn't have enough forage to do it and that she might have to help him

Macbeth expresses in the letter to his wife that he was visited by "weird sisters" who we know as the witches. They came to him on the day that he conquered Macdonwald and told him that he would become Thane of Cawdor, on top of being Thane of Glaims, and later on the King. Lady Macbeth believes that her husband lacks the courage to kill Duncan in order to get the position as king.

Lady Macbeth read the letter sent by Macbeth and found out that he had become thane of Cawdor and possibly soon king because it was what the witches foretold. Lady Macbeth doesn't think that her husband is bold or courageous enough to murder the king so that he can become king.
