What I learned and practiced about line weight, contour, cross contour, and observational drawing was that each line is very important and there are many different layers of drawing.

What I learned from watching and understanding Heather Hansen's work was... Then, we scribbled in class using markers, crayons, colored pencils, or chalk. Then, we used sidewalk chalk outside. What I did was draw around my body as far as I could reach without moving. What I learned about artistic thinking was artest are very connected to there work.

Q1: Still life composition

Techniques for still life composition included using a little square to picture the item on your paper. The item I brought was a cross because my faith is very important to me. My planning was focused mainly on shading and making sure you can tell witch item was mine and included the objects around it.

Line weight

I chose to create an image of a surfboard in front of the ocean that shows how I learned to use line weight to show closer things have bigger lines and smaller things are farther away. This was my first major art project of Art 1. Critique and rubric results showed my strong areas were time management and experimentation and my areas to grow were investigation and design skill. I revised my work by making the bigger lines bigger.
