With props and set design, the reason I chose this role was because of craft knowledge. I didn't know if we would need any makeshift props for our film but if we did I would know how I could go about making it and where I could do it. This is because I work in the fabrication lab in my spare time at Media City and enjoy working on projects.

so with this, I was ready to add my expertise to the mix.

Not much happened with set design this week as it was more of an introduction to the film and who I'm working with which luckily I already knew who they were which helped us bond as a team.

A particularly hard piece to locate was an old TV. This was because the only place I could find them was eBay and most were up for auction which meant while they looked cheap they could steeply increase in price and ruin our budget. I sent some links to our producer to buy as they had the budget money hoping we could get one but as of the time of writing this, we still do not have the TV.

On the first day of filming, I wasn't on set due to not being needed as there was only one prop needed and the set was just the interior of a car which we couldn't do much with anyway.

What I did do for that day was make a taxi sign prop for the car In which I took a driver's learning plate and a laminated taxi logo and stuck them together at the fabrication lab in Media City.

For the second day of filming before the shoot, I met with someone in the photography department to see what broken equipment they would allow us to have to decorate the set. With looking at props I found many stands and lights we could use for the day of filming.

Me and my set design crew made a messy-looking photography studio. We wanted it to be messy as we didn't see Grace as the organized type so we wanted to give personality to Grace through our set which I think we were successful in.

Over the weekend me and another person in set design went to Central Manchester to look around to see if we could find the set props we were missing. We succeeded in this as we found vintage books, vinyls, office equipment and other interesting stuff which we agreed would enhance the sets we used.

Day two we were in Bolton again. In our courtroom scene, we saw that not much set design was needed as it was obvious we were in a courtroom. Though what props were needed Vedad was able to supply. These props were mainly cameras which when acting I got to use.

Day three was my final day on set. This was because filming Thursday and Friday we wanted a smaller crew and as I was the one set designer who hadn't had a day off I was allocated to not go to set. But day three used a lot of props we had used before as day three was agent-focused scenes. Acting a lot that day stopped me from doing much set work but luckily we had locations that did a lot of the talk when showing where we were.

Though I wasn't there I did supply props for sets like envelopes, my mirror and more. These I gave to our assistant director as they were driving to the location.

Me having an acting role I think did hinder me a bit when I could have done some set design as I had to be with the directors to show them what shot they wanted. But with this, I'm very looking forward to the end result and seeing my hard work on film.
