I told her that I would think about it and let her know. I ended up losing track of time and when I finally said I wanted to go, my mom said no.

How does this relate to the theme?

This example relates to my theme because it explains that even though I answered my mom, my timing wasn't right. If I had answered her earlier, I most likely would've been able to go to the school event.

When he asked me this we were already next to all of the fast food restaurants. I was contemplating where it was that I wanted to eat, but of course once I finally said where my dad had already started driving home. In conclusion, I wasn't able to eat what I wanted, but I had to make a sandwich at home.

How does this relate to the theme?

This example relates to my theme because it emphasizes that even though I knew what I wanted to eat, I was too late. While she was at work, I forgot all about the chicken and left it in the freezer. Later on that day I heard the garage open and I quickly took the chicken out. When she came back I found out that she had a bad day and was already upset. Once she noticed that the chicken was still frozen, I got in trouble and we ate nothing for dinner.
