Hi, and welcome to the NextGen padlet. As lockdown rules begin to relax, it's fantastic that we get to go to church again. Praise God! It is so nice to meet again with other saints and commune together.
We are aware though that our younger kids are at home and may not be able to be with their friends again just yet, but we'll continue to provide material that they can enjoy and continue to learn about Jesus.

Thank you

Enjoy

Peter and John took time to do something special for a man who couldn't walk. Read and see what happened. Doing something special doesn't have to cost you money , God can help us think of other ways to do special things. Talk it over with an adult and with God, what special thing can you do for someone today? Post about it in the comment section 👇

Stand for Truth: Acts 5

The Bible in Acts 5 reminds us to always stand for truth. Acts 5:42 says, 'And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus'. No matter the threats or imprisonment the church in Acts faced, they continued to stand for truth.
Here's an object lesson for you to try out (adapted from pastorronbooks.com)
Get a bucket and fill it with water. Then take a P5 coin and throw it into the bucket (be careful not to splash). The P5 coin represents a lie that we tell either to get out of trouble, or to not get into trouble. The problem with lies is that you often have to tell another lie to cover up the first one. So now take 5 thebe coins and drop them into the water one by one and try to cover the P5 coin.
After everyone has dropped their thebes, look at the original lie, the P5 coin. If the kids were not successful in covering the lie, then they got caught telling a lie, and got caught telling all the other lies. If they are successful in covering the original lie, then count how many lies it took to cover for one lie.

Point of the lesson on lying—-telling a lie is not a good thing to do, and it is hard to cover up the lie and not get caught. The better course of action is try to be honest at all times, even if there are consequences for telling the truth.

Acts 10 & 11

In the Bible we read about how the Jews were a people chosen by God to be His people. They were the only ones who knew God and lived very differently from those around them.
But Peter comes to realise, through a vision, that God wants everyone to know about Him. In Acts 11, Peter shares this truth with the rest of the church. Friends, isn't it awesome that God wants us to know Him too 🥰

For today's craft, trace or draw a map of the world. Then with paint, place a print of your hands on the map of the world. If you don't have paint, you can trace your hands with a pencil or marker over the map of the world. Our hands represent God's hands touching the whole world.

Together with your family, take time to pray for the world. God wants us to love and care for everyone.
Post your craft below 👇
Have a fabulous Sunday
