         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Texas Declaration of Independence was a declaration for independence of Texas from Mexico. At the convention of 1836, the declaration was drafted and signed the next day. The Battle of San Jacinto ensured the success of American settlers in revolution that was happening in Texas. In September, there were votes for government officers and a national constitution. At this time there was questions of annexation to the United States. </p>]]></description>
