Respect can be seen in a lot of views such as being kind talking to people in a proper manner. Which is good but something I would like to add on is respect people’s boundaries, I say this because we don’t know what’s going on with someone and respecting their boundaries can help. We should be able to have a bad day and come to class and have our space. I do think it’s good to tell the prof if we have a bad day so they know not call on us as much that day.

Listening

It’s important for us to be able to listen to others ideas so they don’t feel that their opinion doesn’t matter because we would like to hear what others think.

Helping others

It is normal to be lost and confused when learning something new. I’m sure we have all appreciated someone helping us during these times, so I believe it is important to pass it on. Don't judge someone for learning something new, instead offer to help, “two heads are better than one.”

Active Listening

Active listening to peers and the professor is important because it helps us retain and understand the information being told to us and we can state our ideas or opinions after without there being any miscommunication! Everyone can easily get distracted whether it is thinking about what you want to say without fully listening to the other party or just having your mind be elsewhere, so by actively listening to the professor and our peers, we can collaborate as a class better.

Helping each other

Sometimes it takes courage to talk to the person next to you, in front of you, or behind you. A simple question can help you understand the material. It's okay to ask clarification questions to your professor as well. Since it helps you and people around you without them thinking, "I am glad I know this now."

this value matters because if one is not willing to help then the whole part of working together messes up. We need each other to help each other out especially when it comes to assignments. I've had issues where people make an assignment so much harder simply because they weren't willing to help.
