A famous hairstyle from the 60's known as the "afro" became popular during the Civil Rights movement. African-Americans, for a long time, had been straightening their hair to make it appeal to white culture, but during the Civil Rights movement many  African-Americans wore Afros to symbolize black power. Jimi Hendrix was/is a legendary musician who revolutionized the music world forever. He was one for the first African-American guitar player/ rocker and he also played left handed. He sadly died at the age of 27 (fact: there is a group of famous people who were in a group called the 27's and it's filled with musicians who all died at the age of 27) because of an overdose. Some of his most famous songs are Purple Haze, All Along the Watchtower, and Red House. Jimi was an amazing musician, and he is known as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. He was legendary and he will never be forgotten.
