EPASsionates helped shape the European citizenship since it actively engaged our students in understanding Europe’s values, rights, history, and cultural diversity. Our project promoted the European values and participatory democracy, encouraged the intercultural dialogue focusing on EU citizenship rights, and it connected local and European issues as well.

The EPASsionates project helped students and teachers understand what it means to be active European and global citizens. By working together with schools from other countries, we learned about different cultures, important values like human rights and respect, and how to take care of the planet. eTwinning & EPAS brought a new dimension (in)to my classes. The European Year of Digital Citizenship Education brought new topics into focus - like Media Literacy & Fighting Disinformation. "EPASsionates" showed me (and my students) that lessons can be so much more interesting and engaging with international partners and friends, with real-life English communication and teaching-matter application. "EPASsionates" helped me learn the value of collaboration and dissemination - "sharing is caring". My colleagues helped me grow personally and professionally. I had a chance to explore my every-day love for poetry and my high-school love for Maths..., to learn about STE(A)M- and CLIL-methodology, as well as the importance of living SDGs... As teachers involved in this eTwinning project, we have seen firsthand how it has contributed to shaping both European and global citizenship among my students, while also transforming our own teaching methods. The work developed in the eTwinning project has contributed significantly to the motivation of students, encouraging their active involvement in the preparation of materials and assuming teaching and communicative roles. This initiative has facilitated the acquisition of communicative competences in English, while fostering collaborative group work and promoting the development of key interpersonal skills for their employability. It has also awakened interest in European citizenship, reinforcing the European dimension of education. Furthermore, the recreational and motivational component that has characterized the whole process should not be overlooked, favoring significant learning in a dynamic, participative and enriching environment.

We do not want to forget the possibility that the project has offered to have been able to celebrate events such as the Internet Safety Day from this teamwork and dissemination of knowledge to other members of the EPAssionate project.

The EPAS (European Parliament Ambassador School) program and eTwinning initiative offered significant benefits to a small VET school in rural part of Croatia, especially in terms of international exposure, student engagement, and professional development. We came from Slavonski Brod to Navodari MarEUForum festival and as students we gained valuable knowledge about the rights and responsibilities of European citizens, we learned that being a European citizen comes with rights such as freedom of expression, privacy and many more. And we also learned what it means to be responsible digital citizen. Overall this experience taught us a lot but it also gave us a beautiful memory.
