These resources will primarily relate to what parents may encounter in the special education system and beyond. Individualized Education Program (IEP) resources such as the services parents can ask for for their child) and transitions to adulthood- college and employment resources will be the primary focus. The yellow boxes are the resources that relate to IEP information, the blue boxes are the resources that relate to transition into adulthood (college and employment) information, and the green boxes are resources that contain more information about the special education system.

Many parents of children with disabilities and of children who are in special education struggle with what their children's needs are when in school. They want to give their children the services that they need in order to succeed in school. An Individualized Education Program (IEP) will help those children succeed in school. Individualized Education Programs are created for children with disabilities and for those children who are in special education and receive special education services. IEP's include the services that a child needs in order to succeed in school. Parents need to be aware of the power that they have in the IEP process, and hopefully these IEP resources will give them that power.
