My number on goal in teaching is to formulate a relationship with each and every one of my students, so that they may look back and remember the year they had me as their teacher, as the year their mindset on learning changed forever. As an effective teacher, I am trustworthy, engaging, positive, and open-minded. In my classroom, students are to learn in numbers, whether it be with a partner or within a group. This is to maintain a system of combining their personal thoughts and curiosities to formulate the best conclusion for the material they are taught. More than anything, I want to see all of my students succeed through the balance of understanding/executing the curriculum, as well as thinking for themselves and adding their own learning styles to the material. The relationship between my students and I will be vulnerable, honest, and nonjudgmental. In other words, when my students walk through my door, they should feel safe to express themselves in a manner that is not offensive or destructive.
