It was a rebellion against Communism in Vietnam and made new Districts of Vietnam. The Vietnam leader was communist and the Vietnamese people wanted to Rebel and they rebelled with a war. That dragged Americans (Many People In My Family) South Korea and South Vietnam into the war and made them send troops to help the fighting sides.

Yes this was an Open Conflict because conflicts happened here
in America and In Vietnam. The whole reason the war started was because of Conflict. I say that because here in America there were conflicts with sending people into war. Also Muhammad Ali's resistance to join the war. There were conflicts with whether Vietnam should be Communist.

Yes this socially affected many Americans because Muhammad Ali was seen as a disgrace and people who spoke against the war join the disgrace so for a lot of people who disagreed there best bet was to keep there mouth shut. There for it affected Military families because there loved ones had to go to war and American Politics had to divide the Army so that we could fight in both wars.
